HelplessPaw, in one paragraph
HelplessPaw is a UK-based humanitarian charity that turns donations from supporters across the United Kingdom into emergency aid for families living through the war in Ukraine. It runs four open appeals — Winter Aid for Families (WINTER26), Emergency Medical Supplies (MEDIC26), Food Parcels for Frontline Towns (FOOD26) and Rebuilding Homes & Schools (BUILD26) — each with a published target, budget breakdown and closing report. Donations are made securely online, and UK taxpayers can add Gift Aid, worth an extra 25p for every £1 given. In the published sample figures, 92p of every £1 is spent on charitable work and 8p on running costs.

Three promises, one bridge
Emergency Aid
When heating fails and temperatures plunge, we move fast — blankets, thermal clothing, heaters, generators and cash grants delivered within days, not months.
Medical Support
Trauma kits, insulin, wound care and hospital essentials, sourced in bulk and driven directly to the clinics and frontline medics who ask for them by name.
Rebuilding Lives
Roofs before rain, windows before winter, classrooms before term starts. Our repair crews help families return to homes that are safe, warm and truly theirs again.
It started with one van and a phone full of messages
In the first weeks of the full-scale invasion, a handful of friends in London began collecting warm clothes in a borrowed garage. Today HelplessPaw runs regular convoys, funds local repair crews and supplies clinics across Ukraine. Read our full story
